Just over a week ago Yasothon-native Ratchanok Intanon boarded a long flight to England not quite sure what to expect from herself. After all, her participation in the prestigious All England Open last week was only supposed to be a comeback, just an attempt to convince everyone and herself that she is around. However, the way world No.7 Ratchanok played at the world's oldest badminton competition, it felt as if she had never been away. There have been some strange developments in the aftermath of the Rio Olympics and these are all tailor-made to help Ratchanok achieve her target. The Thai star defeated Marin in the quarter-finals and then beat No.6-ranked Japanese Akane Yamaguchi to earn her place in the All England final.
